General Management and C-Level
With an education spanning two continents plus more than a decade of practical senior management experience gained around the world, Peter Goosens is a master of strategic global insight. His ability to analyze clients’ needs beyond the candidate fortifies their vision and goals, while his successful track record in management team assessment and staffing provides clients with a spectrum of services that strengthens their overall business model.
Prior to co-founding Heritage Partners, Peter was director of Spencer Stuart’s Life Sciences and Industrial sectors. His clients included large pharmaceuticals and bio-tech start-ups, as well as major European and American manufacturers. Through 1999, he managed Spencer Stuart’s Brussels office; there his clients included Janssen Pharmaceutica, Toyota Motors Europe and Rexam PLC. Over 90% of his assignments were pan-European, which required sourcing candidates from around the globe.
Peter started his search career with the Curtiss Group, a regional U.S. search firm in Boca Raton, Florida. Before that he spent seven years with Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis) in Switzerland, Ecuador and The Dominican Republic with leadership roles in strategic planning, financial control and marketing/sales.
Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economic Sciences from St. Ignatius University in Antwerp, Belgium, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, French and German in addition to his native Dutch. An avid tennis player and outdoorsman, Peter lives in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Neera.
